- And much more.
The ContentByte Summit is organised by Rachel Smith Freelance Journalist (founder of rachelslist.com.au) and Lynne Testoni, the dynamic duo behind The ContentByte Podcast – known as the podcast for people who make their money from words‘.
I’ll be attending to soak up lots of wisdom and inspiration, as well as to speak on the Day 3 panel alongside Ed Gandia, Kim Kerton and Lynne Testoni all about about maximising your potential income through diversification (podcasting, self-publishing, coaching + courses).
I think it’s empowering and exhilarating to be with a group of people who are doing ‘your thing’. The learnings, the connections, the feeling that you’re not alone combined with hearing insights from people who might be just that step (or entire elevator!) ahead is so beneficial.
So, what are the big and small steps you’ve taken to get to where you are (or where you want to be) as a writer?
For some it might have been pursuing a journalism degree or a masters in creative writing. For others, lots of reading and writing in ‘found’ hours. For others still, there will be a few key moments that have moved you forward in a big way, including lapping up experiences while writing on the job or taking online courses and just writing, writing, writing.
The next step I’ll be taking is heading to this conference. Hope to see you there.
