Australia’s Small Press Network (SPN) to shutter
I’ve loved attending Australia’s Small Press Network conference over the years for some incredible nuggets of wisdom and plenty of publishing and book stats – so it was very sad to hear today from the board of SPN that it is officially winding down. Totally understandable but still a loss for the local publishing industry who aren’t the Big Five.
The current Chair of SPN, Anna Solding said “The current Board has worked hard to find feasible ways to make SPN financially tenable again but have not found any viable way to achieve this. It is disappointing to us as a Board that we have to communicate this to our members, associates and other supporters but it is incumbent on the Board to make difficult decisions when required.”
So farewell SPN and thanks to everyone who contributed over time.
