When to harvest words?
It’s obvious when to harvest rosellas (wild hibiscus), because they’re plump, ruby red and just asking to be picked. But when is the right time to share a harvest of words? Soon it seems! I have two books currently nearing completion. Both are non-fiction.
“Small Farm Success – How to make a life and a living from the land” captures the wisdom of 20+ small farmers from around Australia. It also covers extensively the different opportunities open to today’s farmers including value adding produce, farmers markets, agri-tourism and exporting.
The second book, still to be titled, is a memoir. It covers a decade of our family farming beasties and bugs and the inevitable comedy of living with more than 100 backpackers and having thousands of tourists tramp our paddocks.
